These cute little kids came to see me today!
We got off to a rocky start, because they are very shy...but after a few minutes they warmed up to me. And we had some fun! Alexus had five frogs at her Grandma's house, thats what she told me. As she held up her cut little fingers to show me what five was.

If your kids are shy, don't worry bring em anyway we always work it out.

Here is Matt sporting his Canon....and a new hair cut! This wedding was beautiful. My fist experience working outside shooting a wedding in humidity! Very exciting!! I saw fireflies for the first time...and a Cardinal...it was so red! Anyway had a great time meeting everyone and seeing Matt again. Matt and I went to school together. We shot a lot together while at school so it was easy just to fall back into working with him again. It was a blast...book more weddings Matt!! I will come help you again.

We got into just a little bit of trouble feeding the seagull on the ferry...but it was worth it! They said dont do that...or the seagulls will be like Purana and engulf the ferry...he he ok not in those words but something like that.

All my pictures are Christmas presents...and I cant post any of them...so here is a stool I use in my studio...it was my Grandma's stool. When she passed my Dad asked me what I wanted of my Grandmothers...and I said her stool. When I was young and I went to visit her I loved to sit on this stool...every time I see it or touch it..I remember her and how much I loved her.

While taking Sana's picture we stopped every once and a while and looked at the pictures on the back of my camera. She would always come over and want to look too...really she would just smell the camera but it looked like she was looking too...it was funny.

We use a stick horse that whinnys to get the horse attention, this is a half Arabian and Quarter horse meeting MR. Stick horse for the first time...he was the first baby to want to get to know Mr. Stick horse...he was very calm and easy going because of his breading.

It is hard to photograph horses in a professional proper way. There is more to it than just taking a picture. You have to know about the breed, and what they are being marketed for. This is a nitch market I had my foot in before Hallmark, I am thinking of getting back into it. So much to learn...

Baby Bear the black lab

Took the dogs to the river today. Bear is a lab mix, he has not been to the river very many times. He really liked it there. I wish I could have let him run around loose, but I am afraid he will take off, or another dog will come and who knows what would happen. I am going to keep taking him until he gets used to it all.

These are pictures of him exploring the water. He really liked it, he was in awe of it all. Dodger on the other hand - I let run around loose because he comes when I call him. He was not as impressed by the water as Bear, but he had fun too.

I have recently been working very hard on my site. I try to keep it fresh and updated as much as possible. Today I added a live feed from my blog to the home page. From now on you can see what I have been up to even easier than before.

Snow day

I have to post this because my kids are so cute and so is my grandson. It hardly ever snows here in the valley, but if you drive for about 45 minutes or so up to the mountains, you can run into some snow. This is my son Nick and his wife Ana and my cute little grandson. He has never been to the snow before...well that I know of or that he could remember. So today Nick took him to the snow, this was before they left. They got all bundled up.

Prints being hung at the Durango RV Resort

My Mom and I went to the Durango RV resort today to drop of the first set of prints they are displaying in their Lodge, and office buildings. It was pretty exciting. There will be 9 all together.

I just did a shoot with my son and his wife and puppy for Christmas cards. Here are a few shots. It is not always easy to photograph your family...like your son. Since you have been sticking the camera in his face for his whole life, you would think he would be used to it by now. Actually we had a lot of fun. I went to the Chamber mixer tonight. Saw some old friends, and some new.

It was held out at the School farm. They have a very cute little store out there. Ran by the students of Corning High. Lots of cute things that would be good for Christmas gifts. You should check it out! It is located at 3840 Marguerite Ave. between Loleta and South avenues.

Hey I am doing family portraits for Christmas! I designed some cool cards to check them out. Also I will be offering a package that includes framing if you want, or canvas wraps, those look like a painting, very very nice. If you want to book an appointment call ASAP they are going fast. Well, I am finally home from school, and things are starting to take off. Starting your own business can be a scary thing. But I just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I have thought a lot about whether Corning can support and photography studio. I still don't know, but it is my home. The place I have raised my children, the place where so many faces are familiar.

I hope to see you all soon, I am planning on being at the Christmas fair. Look for me, I am going to be offering a Christmas special you don't want to miss!

I recently was commissioned to photograph website pictures for the new RV park in Red Bluff. The Durango RV resort. I don't know if any of you have been able to take a look at the park, but it is beautiful. You can see their site here Durango RV resort.

They also purchased some prints to hang in the lodge and office buildings. Prints of the surrounding area. Below are a few they bought. They are all being framed as I write this, and will be installed soon.

This is my friend Don, we were both born in Willows Ca. Anyway I wanted to take a picture of him with his tattoo. It is a tattoo in memory of his nephew Steven who was lost tragically at a very young age. I thought it was important to capture it for him. It means a lot to him. Here is to you Don, it is a wonderful gesture to your nephew.

Well I am almost recovered from my 10 months at Hallmark. Just kidding, it was intense, I miss Mass. I arrived in Northern California just in time to see and breath all the terrible smoke. It is clearing now, thank goodness.

I found a drop and pop sort of job to get money coming, will start soon. But I have tried to continue shooting, even if just for my portfolio. These are some shots I took this weekend. It was great fun. My sister came over and did the makeup. We made a day of it.

Back to being able to take pictures of the what I love most....

Wow it has been almost a month since graduation! What a month it has been. I got sicker than a dog and slept for 3 weeks. I slept because I was so drained from the last year. Hallmark is tuff for many reasons. We all know about the academic reasons, but the tougher part for me was to keep some kind of life going, with no money no job and tons of bills. I was taken care of while at Hallmark, by the outside, with out that help I would not have made it.

So I am feeling refreshed and ready to go. I made a crash landing and am now ready to try and get going again.

So thanks to all, your love makes me want to be strong and successful, to let you know I do not take for granted one minute what was done for me, what was given to me.

We are in Chicago tonight, Melrose Park. I am kind of tired. We made good time today and drove a little over 600 miles. I am tired and ready for bed. I drove on the Chicago Skyway. That was kind of crazy but fun. I dont think Mom thought is was much fun ha ha...if not for Daniel (oh me and Mom call the GPS Daniel) we would have been lost.

Well I am off to bed because I cant think of much more to say...nite xxoo

Road Trip

We are in Newark NY tonight. Mom and I went site seeing today. We had fun. I am very tired, and looking forward to getting home.

The GPS has been a great help. Mom and I decided we needed the voice to be male though. So we changed it to Daniel a mans voice with an English accent. Daniel very kindly tells us how to get places, and we say thanks so much Daniel. Ha ha it is very funny.

Tomorrow we will get to Chicago. Cant wait to really get out on the road and start heading home. Below are a few pictures from today.

Me kicking Rich's butt in arm wrestling, I just cheated a little....not to much.

My Mom and I worked so hard today getting everything into my little car. We got up early, and filled it up just in time to miss the rain.

Then we went and delivered some pictures to people I owed. It was nice I got to show my Mom around a bit.

Then we went back to the house and worked more on cleaning and boxing for the UPS. We didn't get out of greenfield until about 6:30.

Norm got me a GPS for graduation, and because he was afraid I would get lost on the way home hee hee. But It was a big help. We stopped in a town called Palmyra. Mom wanted to do some site seeing there. It is kind of off the beaten path, we had to make like 8 turns...in the dark and in the rain. It would have been really hard if we didnt have the GPS. So THANKS Norm!

Oh you are probably wondering about the frog killer title. On one of the dark back roads I saw a bunch of leaves...or what I thought was leaves. But then I noticed one on them jumping! There were literately hundreds maybe thousands of frogs on the road. And I could not help but run over some....there was no way to avoid them...I feel bad. :-( I hope they died fast!

So tired...going to sleep now!

Wow I like disappeared off the face of the earth for a while. My final portfolio was accepted at school! That is cool, now I get to graduate on the 20th. I am heading home soon and cant wait. Now it is snowing! It is so pretty. Just think I will probably not ever see this kind of snow again after I go home. I will miss it.
